Where’s the acknowledgement by The Guardian that is was the blogosphere which saved their asses?
Good question. The Guardian’s published because Carter Ruck and Trafigura dropped their claim, (which is in turn presumably because of the blogs and Twitter), so I guess the causation’s a bit indirect, but some acknowledgement would be nice.
Stephen Fry is claiming the victory is Twitter’s, what to do what to do??
Stephen Fry also refused an interview with us. I bet he’s just claiming the victory for Twitter because he feels guilty after snubbing his fellow Cantabridgian alumni
Carl: I definitely meant the “we” of the title to include Twitter and other blogs – not just the Third Estate. That would be a teensy bit arrogant :p
You’re being too modest Owen, I think it’s fair to say you led the way on this one!
well done everyone involved!

Well, Rusbridger’s thanked Twitter. Since Guido Fawkes and Don’t Get Fooled Again got there before me I think I’ll settle for that – the weekly column on the Guardian’s comment pages will have to wait…:D
Wikileaks claims this info is still suppressed.
