While not all nonsmokers suffer from such a thing, it is unfortunately true that those who migrate over the edge into the cult world of “Antismoking” often develop a psychiatric condition known as ASDS (AntiSmokers Dysfunction Syndrome). Those who suffer from this disease can have the quality of their own lives destroyed and can often help in the destruction of the happiness and productivity of those who live close to them.

And while it is important to remember that, for the good of the community, afflicted sufferers will often need to be separated and contained, still it is important to recognize that despite appearances to the contrary they are still human beings and should be provided with such necessities as food and water. (Actually, many of them have enough body fat stored that they will not really require food for the first several months after containment. They will thank you later for helping them reach a healthy weight.)

This is a very funny article and reminds me how bad I have to feel if I happen to blow a bit of smoke in someone’s general direction. It’s also reminded me that I have no more cigarettes left and had better go to the shop even though it is dark and cold.

Tobacco – a great vegetarian product – as David Hockney said (or something similar).
