Worth reading from the past week:

The Daily (maybe) rightly points the finger at Nicole Fisher – the protestor whacked last year – for not bothering to turn up to court to testify, making the acquittal of Sergeant Smellie inevitable.

The use of the courts to stop the RMT striking provoked a reaction from, amongst others, Dave Semple and Janine at Stroppy blog.

Memories of the poll tax campaign/riots, 20 years ago, are shared by Andy and Shiraz Socialist.

And since nobody was nasty to me last time I linked to Spiked, Tim Black enters the debate on Mephedrone, attacking both “autoritarian  politicians and elitist experts”, and asserting than the legality of drugs is a political issue, not simply a question of evidence.
